Nuu Metabolic is a licensed Illinois telehealth practice serving adults 18+ anywhere in Illinois, including Chicago, the North Shore, Lake County, and communities statewide. You must be physically located in Illinois when you receive care.

Yes. Nuu Metabolic is LegitScript certified.

Enroll online in about two minutes. Within one business day you’ll receive secure intake forms by email. Urooj personally reviews your completed intake and replies through your secure patient portal with a treatment plan, follow-up questions, or a full refund if treatment isn’t appropriate.

Usually not. Most care happens through secure online intake and messaging. If Urooj needs to see you to make a safe decision, she’ll schedule a video visit at no extra cost.

FDA labeling supports GLP-1 treatment for adults with a BMI of 30 or higher, or 27 or higher with a weight-related condition such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, or sleep apnea. BMI alone doesn’t determine eligibility. Contraindications include a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN2 syndrome. Final eligibility is a clinical decision made after reviewing your full history.

Your first month’s payment is refunded in full. Urooj will explain the clinical reasoning in writing and, where appropriate, what would need to change.

Intake forms arrive within one business day of enrolling. Once your intake is complete, Urooj reviews it personally and replies through your secure portal.

Nuu Rx is $99/month for your clinical care, with no long-term commitment. There’s no separate consultation fee; your medical evaluation is included.

No. Medication and lab testing are billed separately by the pharmacy and lab. Self-pay brand-name GLP-1s through manufacturer programs typically run about $149–$449/month depending on medication and dose. We’ll help you find your most affordable option.

Yes, anytime. Cancellation stops future charges, and your care continues through the month you’ve already paid for.

If treatment isn’t appropriate for you, your first month is refunded in full. If your intake isn’t completed within 7 days of enrolling, your membership is canceled and refunded. Months in which care was provided aren’t refunded. See our Refund Policy for details.

The membership is self-pay. Your medication may be covered by your insurance plan.

Yes. We submit one prior authorization per medication. Appeals and resubmissions aren’t included.

Manufacturer direct-pay programs have made brand-name GLP-1s much more affordable than their list prices. We’ll help you compare options.

Brand-name, FDA-approved GLP-1 medications only, such as Wegovy, Zepbound, and Foundayo, when clinically appropriate. Nuu Metabolic does not prescribe or dispense compounded GLP-1 medications.

We start low and increase gradually based on how you respond, aiming for your lowest effective dose rather than the highest one. Dose changes are always reviewed by your clinician.

Labs may be requested before you start or during treatment, depending on your history. Lab costs are billed separately.

Most side effects are digestive and often improve with careful dosing. Report side effects through your secure portal, and Urooj will adjust your plan as needed. For severe symptoms or a medical emergency, call 911.

You’ll complete a monthly digital check-in covering progress, side effects, and dosing. Urooj reviews each one and adjusts your plan when needed.

Yes. Secure messaging about your GLP-1 care is included through your patient portal.

Stopping is a planned decision made with your clinician. We focus on protecting muscle and building habits so results are easier to maintain.

Yes. Your medical information is collected and stored in a HIPAA-compliant patient platform, separate from our website. See our Notice of Privacy Practices.
