Insurance and prior authorization
Nuu Metabolic is a cash-pay practice for clinical care — your membership fee is paid directly to Nuu, not billed to insurance. This is intentional. It allows me to spend real time with you and manage your care without insurance restrictions.
For medications, it’s different. Branded GLP-1 medications (Wegovy, Zepbound, Ozempic, Mounjaro) and branded hormone therapies are routed through your local pharmacy and may be covered — fully or partially — by your insurance. As part of every Reset and Complete membership, I personally write prior authorization requests and supporting documentation to give your insurance the strongest possible case for approval.
